I've recently began to play old SNES/SEGA roms thru emulators on my mac & mobile phone. Its great fun to see and play the old classic games again. ^-^

A particular classic RPG game called Der Langrisser <-- Link from the original "Warsong" series has been occupying most of my leisure time recently

The entire series is probably the most successful RPG game ever made, with many different paths to build your hero and his companions, and in the particular series I'm playing now... has 4 different paths to choose from, each with its own specific ending.

(Above is the PS version of the Intro)

The re-playability factor is extremely high since there's countless ways you can choose to level your "heroes" and also which faction you wish to join (aka fight the good guys, fight the bad guys, fight both the good & bad guys(joining the chaos faction), or fight all 3 factions by going independent)

Since I'm no longer the source of your woes.. I'll go ahead and join in here.

I'm playing LoL, MW2, and a new game that I'm managing.

Scooby, any idea where you can find a copy of the translated version of that game?

Hi BB ^-^

It's been a long time.

I've uploaded my version of the "Translated to English" Snes Rom file below to save you time googling around for the patcher(which imports the English script onto the original Jap format).

DLangrisser 1.02 (3,072 KB) <-- Link

(Let me know if you have trouble downloading it, I can always re-upload the file)

I have tried various Snes emulators for mac, and all seems to have out-of-sync sound & game graphics. So I recommend using Snex9x emulator which seems fully compatible with no observable problems, and the below link is for the windows version which I'm guessing you are using.

Snex9x Emulator for Windows <-- Link

The following are English guides for Der Langrisser (Snes) which does have a following even after so many years.

Zero's Der Langrisser Ultimate Stratgy Guide Text format (Not the best guide around, but sufficient for beginners) <-- Link

Web Guide (Also sufficient for beginners) <-- Link

A collection of more comprehensive Guides (TBrayer's Guide is highly recommended for extreme game details with recommended Character Advancement) <-- Link

Enjoy

Edits: I'm still trying to hunt down a copy of the PS version which include the new video graphics that you probably have seen on the youtube link I'd provided. But the Snes version is still lotsa fun, since it is the old classics that really stick in our heads. Word of caution, the game background music is extremely catchy, and I find myself humming it unknowingly even at work.
